Posted by Weirdcorefizzer - December 15th, 2022

Hello newgrounds pals! Im gonna re-open my commissions but I need some advice on pricing! I was told to never over price or under price but that never helps me ;-; I just want to be fair so me and my buyers would be happy also since I never really opened up my commissions to a whole website of ppl im kinda nervous cause I only did this at school (which is pretty small) but thats all im sorry for being a bother!

think about how much work it takes you to make a simple piece and price it by the hour, compare it with your audience and think of it realistically, if your pieces are simple and most of your audience isnt filthy rich, maybe 10 or 15 bucks for something could be good to start since that compares to a minimum wage job. the more complex and better you get at delivering, start thinking of how to up-price without completely alienating an audience that doesnt have a lot of money - perhaps your work could be 15-30$ when you get really good at working quickly! then go from there and use your back catalog as a reference point

Thank you very much! i'll keep that in mind <3
